Who is Chris?

My Story 

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, but grew up in South Omaha. I attended Chandler View Elementary, Marrs Junior High and Omaha South High School. I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Throughout my educational journey, I excelled in the classroom because I had teachers & professors at all levels who put education first. I graduated college in three years, eager to get life started. By the age of 21, I owned a house, was married, had a son and a job in my degree field; all because of the life lessons taught to me from the time that I was in pre-school through college. My wife and I own a medical practice in LaVista, NE. We have been in business for 2 years and have 11 employees. The best part about our practice is all of the lives that we touch and help. Prior to our business, I was in the corporate world working for various Fortune 500 companies. My wife and I have two grandchildren and four Aussie/Border Collie dogs. We have an acreage near Platteview High School that we call home. If we are not working, you will find us actively outdoors, working on projects, and relaxing on our front porch.

Why I am Running for School Board?

I am running for the Springfield Platteview School Board to ensure our children's education ALWAYS comes first! My wife and I have a total of eight children, ranging from 19 - 27 years old, three of which are recent graduates of Platteview High School. My children transferred to Platteview because of the educational and extracurricular opportunities that it provides which I knew would equip them with knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their life after high school. My grandchildren will be attending school in the Springfield-Platteview school system in the years to come, so I want to ensure that Platteview maintains its educational greatness so that all students who attend can have a fulfilling experience like my children did, which I can do by being a member of the School Board.
